This website is jointly owned and operated by Mr. Hiresh Choudhary and Ms. Surbhi Sharma, both permanent residents of India (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard the personal data and information of any person or legal entity that visits our website www.cslawchambers.com or in the course of any interaction with us, our retainers or employees through email or any other digital means.

In case you choose to contact us for any purpose, we may collect and retain the information shared by you in the course of your interaction with us, including the following personal information: 

  • Identity: Name, email addresses, home and/or office address, phone numbers and copies of identification documents such as driving license, passport or aadhaar, if provided. 
  • Communications: All email communications addressed to us along with documents shared as attachments or through a cloud based digital storage, and copies of all communications sent by us to you or to third parties on your behalf.  
  • Qualifications: Curriculum vitae, resume, copies of degree, bar council membership certificates or other qualification information necessary to establish the current status of your qualifications. 
  • Legal services: All documents and information containing personal information that may be shared with us or created by us while providing legal services to our clients.  
  • Financial information: Bank account details, Personal Account Numbers and details of your transactions with us. 

This website also collects the following information of its visitors automatically when they visit the website: IP address, device details, browser type, access times, and pages viewed. 

3. Use of information

We legitimately use the information collected in terms of Article 2 for the purpose the information is provided for and for other lawful purposes, which include: 

  • Interacting with persons who send us email communications.  
  • Providing legal services to our clients. 
  • Assessing applications for recruitment to our team. 
  • Managing our relationships with retainers, employees, consultants, service providers and vendors.  
  • Highlighting our work with our clients, on our website or elsewhere.  
  • Maintain and improve the website, conduct performance and usage analytics, and to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.

We do not exchange the information collected in terms of Article 2 with any third parties for any economic benefit. However, we may share the information with the following persons, for the purposes outlined in Article 3: 

  • Members of our team, including retainers, of counsel, employees and legal interns.

  • External counsel, senior advocates, experts and other agencies engaged by our clients 
  • Judicial authorities and their secretariats, to the extent necessary for instituting or defending legal proceedings on behalf of and under instructions of our clients.  
  • Third parties, on behalf of and under instructions of our clients.  
  • Law enforcement agencies, in case of a binding legal order or regulation to such effect, or in order to protect our legal rights. 
5. Retention and deletion of information

We shall retain the information collected in terms of Article 2 for such period as may be deemed necessary by us for the purposes outlined in Article 3, or such period prescribed by law, whichever is longer. We reserve the right to delete the information once it is no longer deemed necessary to retain it, without any prior notice.
